ur02, a little project carried out in only four months
In a residential area near Valencia, our clients propose the design of a detached family house, with all its development on the ground floor, a programme of two bedrooms, a study, two bathrooms, a laundry room and the living-dining-kitchen area unified in the same space and linked to an outdoor porch area. Up to this point, it might be considered an ordinary project. A project like any other.
The peculiarity arrives when customers come looking for speed, expandability, controlled construction costs and a strong interest in industrialised building systems.
Under these conditions, this project becomes unique and is conceived from the outset under the premises of the URAW system. It combines the use of prefabricated systems for the structure and envelope, as well as quick construction solutions for the interiors.
The prefabricated structure shapes the geometry and aesthetics of the project by being exposed, thus defining the main features of the URAW homes.

The foundation elements, columns and beams form the load-bearing structure. The floor slabs are made of hollow core slabs, and the walls are made of prefabricated concrete panels.
This constructive mechanism is governed by modular criteria and the use of standardised parts. Moreover, it has the advantage of its geometry and assembly systems that allow new parts to be added to existing ones, expanding the constructions in the X-Y-Z axis.
Thus, this modest project became the home that its owners were looking for only in four months, unifying architectural criteria with industrialised systems.
