R35, one of our most significant renovations,
is located in Valencia’s Ensanche, where the Levantine bourgeoisie once settled. That is why this renovation is of such interest from an architectural point of view, as it gives a facelift to a house dating from 1930.
The house’s antiquity
led to the desire to conserve and rehabilitate elements that, together with the modern elements introduced, would give it a duality of the past and present.

The high ceilings, a hallmark of the period, and the pre-existing plasters on the ceilings were meticulously preserved.
The house’s functions were reimagined, with the day area now gracing the main façade. This strategic shift not only enhances the house’s luminosity but also adds a modern touch with the inclusion of large windows.
The kitchen became the home’s heart,
the central passageway that now separates the day area from the night area. In this way, a route was created around the large kitchen island.
The natural materials were combined pleasingly
so as not to detract from the importance of the preexisting mouldings in the house. As mentioned, the value of this refurbishment lies in preserving the elements typical of early 20th-century houses.
