In times of climate emergency, construction seeks formulas that balance quality, efficiency, and environmental respect. It is in this context that U‑Green is born — the sustainable commitment we have embraced at Ubiko as an inherent part of our industrialised building model.

Unlike traditional construction, the Ubiko building system allows us to manufacture the structure and envelope of each home in the workshop and assemble them on site in a maximum of seven days. This operational efficiency forms the foundation of the U‑Green philosophy: reducing emissions, minimising waste, and improving on-site safety. A commitment that goes beyond the technical and rises to the environmental challenge.

The Sustainable Wheel

Industrialisation creates a chain effect we like to call “the sustainable wheel”: a mechanism in which fewer journeys, less waste, lower emissions, and greater safety reinforce one another. By significantly reducing execution times, we minimise the transport of materials and workers, which leads to a direct reduction in CO₂ emissions. Precise and controlled factory execution produces approximately 70% less waste compared to conventional building methods. Additionally, fewer days of on-site work result in fewer workplace accidents — a strategy that enhances construction processes while reducing the environmental footprint of each project.

«This sustainable wheel is the essence of U‑Green and guides every step of its development».

A sustainable system that maintains quality and design.

Without compromising on design or customisation, Ubiko rejects the notion that industrialisation means standardisation. Our system, based on 2D industrialised load-bearing concrete walls, allows each home to be adapted to the client’s needs. It combines technical precision with architectural freedom and quality, while optimising processes to enhance sustainability.

U‑Green’s commitment is backed by data: we use locally sourced materials in all our projects, adopt passive architecture strategies, comply with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, and always focus our R&D&I on improving the environment, society, and new ways of living.

U‑Green represents a firm commitment to sustainability. It is the will to do things differently. It is building homes that, beyond providing shelter, offer an effective and responsible response to the planet.
